Anakie State School Parents & Citizens' (P&C) Association
The Anakie State School Parents & Citizens' (P&C) Association is an active group of parents, carers, staff and community members who work in partnership with our school to enhance the learning environment, provide additional resources, and create opportunities for every student to thrive.
Through fundraising, volunteering and community events, the P&C provides valuable support and resources that benefit our entire school community.
Meet Our 2026 P&C Executive
Our 2026 Anakie State School P&C Executive Committee works behind the scenes to support our students, staff and families throughout the year.
- President: Mandy Vale
- Vice President: Rodney Pallentine
- Treasurer: Liz Evans
- Secretary: Maddie Slattery
Together with our committee members and volunteers, these dedicated parents are committed to making a positive difference to our school. As the saying goes, many hands make light work, and we truly appreciate the support of our school community.
Our P&C is all about building a vibrant school culture while raising vital funds to enhance learning opportunities for our students. Whether you've been part of our school community for years or are joining us for the first time, we'd love to hear your ideas.
P&C Membership – Join the P&C and Make a Difference!
Becoming a member of the Anakie State School P&C Association is a wonderful way to become involved in your child's education and help shape our school community.
As a member, you can:
- contribute ideas and suggestions
- vote on important decisions
- help guide school initiatives
- support projects that directly benefit our students.
Membership is free, and there is no expectation that committee members take on an executive role. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your voice, ideas and skills are valued, and every contribution makes a real difference.
If you would like to become a member, simply email the P&C for a membership form or collect a paper copy from the school office or any member of the P&C Executive.
P&C Meetings
Next General Meeting: Wednesday 26 August 2026
Meetings are held in the school library at 3.15 pm and generally run for around one hour.
Each year we aim to hold six General Meetings, along with an Annual General Meeting at the beginning of the year to elect our Executive Committee.
To make attending easier for families, our meetings coincide with the school's Craft Club, allowing students to enjoy craft activities while parents attend the meeting.
Our meetings are relaxed, welcoming and friendly, and we encourage all parents, carers and community members to come along.
Many Hands Make Light Work!
Tuckshop Volunteers
Our school thrives because of our wonderful community, and we need your help!
Whether you have a few hours to spare each month or can only assist occasionally, volunteering is a rewarding way to support our school and connect with other families.
Our tuckshop is a much-loved part of the school week and relies heavily on volunteers.
Tuckshop operates every Friday at first lunch only (11am).
What you'll do
- Prepare and serve healthy food.
- Pack student lunch orders.
- Assist with cleaning and packing away.
Why it matters
Your support helps keep food affordable while ensuring students have access to nutritious meals. Most importantly, the children absolutely love tuckshop!
Time commitment
Even a couple of hours makes a huge difference.
