In Health and Physical Education, students develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to support them to be resilient, to develop a strong sense of self, to build and maintain satisfying relationships, to make health-enhancing decisions in relation to their health and physical activity participation, and to develop health literacy competencies in order to enhance their own and others’ health and wellbeing.
Each class has a HPE lesson weekly and the school regularly participates in Jump Rope for Heart. Students are actively encouraged to support our Olympic and Commonwealth Game athletes with fun activities to cheer our teams on. Every year we hold a school cross country and fun run, swimming carnival/fun day and interhouse athletics carnival. These are wonderful days of friendly competition where students compete for their houses ,Sapphire and Zircon.
Students with sporting ability are encouraged to compete at representative levels, and funding to offset costs is often given to these students by the P&C Association.
