Our school is a vibrant place of learning where our students are valued as individuals. At Anakie we actively build relationships and provide a supportive and engaging environment for our students to achieve their full potential. We foster a culture of learning and support. Staff know our students, embrace diversity, and implement evidence-based teaching and learning practices to their needs.
In line with the Department of Education, a Student Code of Conduct for Students has been developed with students, staff and parent contribution. Anakie State School staff take a proactive and positive approach to discipline. We believe that behaviour must be explicitly taught and that mistakes are opportunities for everyone to learn.
As Principal, I am deeply committed to the growth and achievement of high standards in academic, social and emotional learning and attendance. Our school motto: A Sound Mind in a Sound Body plays an important part in fostering the well-being and personal development of each student as we work alongside our parents to prepare our youth for the challenges and opportunities the future will provide.
