Anakie State School Resource Centre Anakie's Library is a very valuable resource for the school. It is jam packed with books, videos, posters, games and computers. The students often like to spend a lunchtime sitting in air-conditioned comfort reading a book or using the Internet. The Resource centre is constantly refreshed with up to date reading materials. With the great support from local families Anakie benefits from free picks from the Scholastic Book Club. Other donations for our resource centre were provided by The Variety Club, Anakie RSL, P&C, CWA and PCAP. Every Tuesday our lovely librarian Mrs Sonya Spencer takes each class for a library lesson. Library lessons are used to teach students research skills and to encourage enjoyment when reading books. During the lesson the students are allowed to borrow. Grades Prep to year 4 are allowed to borrow 1 book at a time. Grades 5 to year 7 are allowed to borrow 2 books at a time.
